ABOUT

Bree Nichols is a young American soprano praised for her “rich vocal disposition” (KlasikaPlus) and compelling stage presence. A Fulbright alumna to the Czech Republic and currently based in Prague, Bree is known for her sensitive interpretations of Czech vocal music as well as over a dozen operatic roles spanning a diverse repertoire. Her recent performances include in the title roles of Jenůfa, Káťa Kabanová, and Rusalka as well as Violetta (La traviata) and Mimì (La bohème) across the U.S. and Europe. Her career has taken her to Glyndebourne, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Opera Bergen, Tulsa Opera, the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre, Janáček International Music Festival, and more. READ MORE →

Bree Nichols is the Founder & Artistic Director of Opera Arlington, where she works to bring accessible opera to the North Texas community and provide paid performance opportunities to early-career musicians.

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

Following her first summer at Glyndebourne covering the role of Tosca, Bree debuts the title roles of Manon Lescaut and Didon at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. She reprises the roles of Mimì (La bohème) and Violetta (La traviata) and premieres the title role of Die toten Augen, alongside the release of newly-commissioned works with the Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg.
