ABOUT BREE

Bree Nichols is a young American soprano praised for her “rich vocal disposition” (KlasikaPlus) and compelling stage presence. A Fulbright grantee to the Czech Republic in 2021–22, Bree is known for her sensitive interpretations of Czech vocal music as well as over a dozen operatic roles spanning a diverse repertoire. This season hails her debuts in the title role of Káťa Kabanová as well as Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus), and Monica (The Medium) across the U.S. and the Czech Republic. Bree Nichols is the winner of the 2020 Presser Graduate Music Award in support of her research and performance in Czech vocal music.

GRANTEE

Bree Nichols is a 2021-22 Fulbright grantee to the Czech Republic, where she worked to revive forgotten musical treasures through an anthology of Czech art songs and a recital series.

Bree Nichols is the Founder & Artistic Director of Opera Arlington and is currently serving young artists on the faculty of NTX Vocal Arts Exchange.
