ABOUT BREE
Bree Nichols is a young American soprano praised for her “rich vocal disposition” (KlasikaPlus) and compelling stage presence. A Fulbright grantee to the Czech Republic in 2021–22 and currently based in Prague, Bree is known for her sensitive interpretations of Czech vocal music as well as over a dozen operatic roles spanning a diverse repertoire. Her recent role debuts include in the title roles of Jenůfa, Káťa Kabanová, and Rusalka as well as Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus) and Antonia (Les contes d’Hoffmann) across the U.S. and Europe. Bree Nichols was a 2021-22 Fulbright grantee to the Czech Republic, where she worked to revive forgotten musical treasures through an anthology of Czech art songs and a recital series.

Bree Nichols is the Founder & Artistic Director of Opera Arlington and serves emerging artists on the faculty of NTX Vocal Arts Exchange.

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
This season, Bree makes her debuts at Opera Bergen, the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre, and Opera Modesto. She will appear as Rusalka, Jenůfa, and Antonia (Les contes d’Hoffmann) alongside concert performances across Europe, and recordings of new works.
