Janáček's Příhody lišky Bystroušky (Lišák) – Texas Tour

On December 4th-8th, Bree Nichols performs the role of Lišák (Fox) in Janáček's Příhody lišky Bystroušky (The Cunning Little Vixen) on tour with UNT Opera. The story follows the adventures of a quick-witted vixen, a parable of the cycle of life and nature. Director Jonathan Eaton's production will reach audiences throughout Texas performed in the original Czech. Made possible through the partnership of the University of North Texas and the Czech Educational Foundation of Texas, with funding provided by the Frank J. and Hermine Hurta Kostohryz Residency in Czech Music and Culture, and the Dr. Jim J. and Rose A. Bezdek Endowment Celebrating Czech Music and Culture. Accompanied by pianist Stephen Carey.
